Restaurants were drowning in disconnected software.
In 2019, our founders visited over 200 restaurants across Northeast India. Every single one ran on a patchwork of tools: a billing app that did not talk to the kitchen, an inventory sheet in Excel, a separate loyalty program, and a WhatsApp group for customer follow-ups.
The owners were exhausted — not from cooking, but from firefighting software that was supposed to make their lives easier. Large chains had custom-built platforms, armies of IT staff, and the budget to integrate it all. Independent restaurants had none of that.
We founded Candle OS to close that gap. One platform, connected end-to-end, priced for every restaurant — not just the ones with deep pockets.
